This unique table is a statement piece for your home or office.

A large Black Walnut slab (32" diameter and 2.5" thick) harvested in Northeast Ohio is the centerpiece. The top is a crosscut section of the tree, referred to as a "cookie", and displays some spectacular grain and character.
The interior suffered decay during the trees life resulting in a unique center opening. The slab was kiln dried and the center cast with red epoxy filler. It was then sanded and the bark minimized. The splits were filled with epoxy tinted with sawdust which allowed the fill to blend more naturally with the finish.
The slab was finished with Boiled Linseed Oil then 2 coats of Osmo - Polyx Hard Wax Oil - 3043 Clear Satin, hand rubbing between coats. The slab has a beautiful hand rubbed satin finish, that can be easily maintained and renewed through the years.

The stand is a heavy duty steel, wide-top trapezoid set of legs. They are uniquely sized to the shape of the table and finished in a satin, textured black powder coat. The stand is extremely sturdy, and would add a sleek touch to your home, loft, or office.

Overall standing height 17.5".
Supports were removed for shipping and must be re-installed by the customer, all hardware is included.
