Unfortunately, I never got around to posting a review of the stools I ordered from Donald a few years back -- Sorry Donald!
The stools are beautiful and I have received countless compliments about them from people that have seen them. The are surprisingly comfortable too as we got the "scooped" out. Love these stool!
For this piece I selected a round live edge piece of maple. What drew me to this piece of wood was the crack in it. I then inlaid walnut bow ties to give it strength and stability. For the base I used 1 1/4" steel tube in a clean modern style. This is a studio piece that was made on spec, so it is available for purchase. I can also customize it with different wood or size. This one is about 40"-36" in diameter and 18" high.
