I am 1/4 Ojibway from Northern Lake Erie, and it comes out in my Work sometimes when the passion moves me or someone asks me to honor them with some, which is becoming more frequent. This piece was done for a Wolf Clan mother of northern BC.
I do a lot of smoking pipes with traditional pipestones such as Calumet(Red Indian pipestone), Argylite (which is this one), Pyralite, Alabaster... and rarely, only after testing and checking meticulously and by request only, Brazilian Soapstone.
I have a close connection to the smoke ceremonies and ritual of smoking. I am capable of more traditional stylings but since I'm of mixed blood, I honor all my ancestors by allowing it all to meld together in design.
I can design and make anything from a basic animal on a surface to full out intricate designs that take a lot of time to finish, just tell me your idea and I'll bring it to life.
