Salvaged, Locally Harvested Walnut Award Plaque
As an environmental educator I enjoy connecting people with the wonders of our natural world. I have a tremendous amount of interest in the trees that shape our forests- from their ability to sustain our ecosystems to their uniqueness and beauty.
These plaques are custom made to fit your organization's logo or any other design. We utilize a plank of sustainably harvested black walnut (Juglans nigra) along with contrasting hardwood species of your choice in thin stock as well as hardwood veneer to provide a diversity of thicknesses. You can also choose to order a blank faced plaque comprised of a finished plank of walnut and apply a brass plaque to the entire face. Makes for a much more distinctive award than a laminated, press-board walnut imitation plaques commonly given.
Cost is based upon the complexity of the brand or other image represented. The ones shown in the images were crafted at a cost of $70.00, and measure 10 inches by 13 inches by 2 inches thick. Cost does not include the brass plaque, which I can add or you can order independently. I'm happy to create a design for you or interpret your own in wood.
