Sapele And Wenge Lift-Top Coffee Table
This is the latest in the evolution of these unique, lift-top drop-leg coffee tables. Unlike most lift-top coffee tables, which use heavy, bulky, ugly boxes, these modern, light weight, handsome tables require drop legs because the solid wood tabletops travel 17 inches forward when open! This allows for proper seating. However, it puts the center of gravity far enough off center to require the drop legs when in use. The legs simply fold upward and attach magnetically to the underside of the top and then hide inside the box when closed.
This one is gorgeous sapele (it has all matured by now to a warm and lovely even tone) with legs and accents of black African wenge. The legs on this table can be detached (2 bolts each) for shipping or storage.
These table remain one of my most popular item and of course are perfect for downsizing, small apartments/ condos or tiny houses:) There is storage inside on either side of the lift-top mechanism.
