This wing was designed by Italian designer Massimo Scolari. We were commissioned by the Yale School of Architecture to fabricate the wing. The wing was built as a torsion box and clad it with ash. The final stain is a modified oil over stain.
During the fabrication of the wing we worked with the designer contacting him at his office in Italy to review images and drawing. Prior to the final fabrication and finishing the designer came to the shop to view full size models.
This project was to showcase a part of Massimo Scolari's work.
