WHY AN IRON GATE?:
The idea of a beautiful gate is an ironic one. Why are gates used? To keep intruders out? To ensure safety? The reason and necessity for an iron gate is an ominous one. Why then, the elaborate design of this gate? Perhaps it puts a soft edge around the harsh reality of our desire to feel safe and secure.
