Sculpted Men's Valet & Watch Box | Solid Birdseye Maple And Bubinga
This valet & watch box is constructed of solid Birdseye Maple and Bubinga, which was hand selected for the beauty of its grain and stability of its structure. The Maple board this box was made from features very rare and dramatic birdseye figuring which provides the box with an almost holographic effect when viewed from varying angels. The depth and purity of the color of the Bubinga enhances the stunning beauty of the Birdseye.
The exterior of the entire box is hand carved to resemble lapping waves along the shoreline of a beach. The surface features undulating peaks and valleys which smoothly flow into one another. As interesting to touch as it is to look at, the sculpted box offers a unique look and feel unlike any other box.
The box features two levels of storage each of which is lined in a luxurious and durable felt lining. The top level houses two open faced removable sliding trays (approximately 3"W x 6"D x 1"D) perfect for the storage of rings, cufflinks and other small items. The second level is divided into six 3"x3" compartments for the storage of six watches. Six velvet watch pillows are also included with the box which provide a safe and attractive resting place for the watches.
No stains or dyes were used in the making of this piece and all colors seen are the natural colors of the wood.
The piece is signed and dated on the bottom.
