Sculpted Men’S Valet & Watch Box
This valet & watch box is constructed of solid Sepele & Wenge, which was hand selected for the beauty of its grain and stability of its structure. The Sepele used in this piece came from Africa and features a ribbon grain pattern which seems almost holographic when viewed from varying angels. The Wenge used in this piece is a very dark and durable hardwood which came from the Western portion of Africa.
The exterior of the entire box is hand carved to resemble lapping waves along the shoreline of a beach. The surface features undulating peaks and valleys which smoothly flow into one another. As interesting to touch as it is to look at, the sculpted box offers a unique look and feel unlike any other box.
The box features two levels of storage each of which is lined in a luxurious and durable felt lining. The top level houses two open faced removable sliding trays (approximately 3"W x 6"D x 1"D) perfect for the storage of rings, cufflinks and other small items. The second level is divided into six 3"x3" compartments for the storage of six watches. Six velvet watch pillows are also included with the box which provide a safe and attractive resting place for the watches.
No stains or dyes were used in the making of this piece and all colors seen are the natural colors of the wood.
The piece is signed and dated on the bottom.
