Alabaster Stone Sculpture

"Tunnel Vision" was carved from Red Alabaster with Bubinga wood attached to the outer part of the tunnel opening and the feet. Brass pins were used to both hold the wood in place and add a different element to the piece. The alabaster started out as a 90lb block of stone and grinders carved out the shape. Then the wood was attached and a grinder blended it into the stone. This piece is about 14"tall, 16" long and 12" wide and priced at $4200.00.

"Three Ways Through" is carved from a block of Red Alabaster Stone. Various grinders are used to carve out the stone and create the three tunnels the join together in the middle and create the waves on the openings to the tunnels. Bubinga wood was applied to the openings and used for the base to make the red in the stone pop.
