Seashell Necklace Recycled Silver Pmc Sterling Silver Conch Shell Sea Shell

A little conch shell has washed up on a beachy, textured disc. Each piece, including the bail, was formed using PMC and then carefully fused together during kiln firing. The piece lives on a sterling silver flat cable chain that closes with a hand forged clasp. On either side of the clasp there is a tiny, nearly clear aquamarine faceted bead. Each component has been oxidized and hand buffed to a soft gray for contrast. This simple necklace is perfect for the beach-lover on your list. It is easy to wear and goes with anything from a blouse or tee to a sundress.

The chain measures 18 inches in length and the pendant hangs 3/4 inch below the chain. It is modeled on a mannequin for visual size reference. It will be packaged safely in an eco-friendly kraft style gift box and tied up with a beautiful ribbon.

PMC – Precious Metal Clay – is a clay comprised of tiny particles of reclaimed silver and an organic binder. I design and form each piece and then kiln fire it, where the binder burns away leaving behind the particles to cling together as fine silver (.999). After firing, each piece is hand buffed, sometimes oxidized and then made into a beautiful piece of jewelry.
