Ever been to Shelburne Farms? If you haven't, check it out the next time you're in VT. Originally the home of Dr. William Seward and Lila Vanderbilt Webb and built in 1886, this 1400 acre working farm is now a nonprofit educational center focused on sustainability.
Grain Design Studio is fortunate to have access to their amazing selection of native hardwood lumber, of which this stool is made. Sustainably harvested, air dried, and right in our backyard, it doesn't get any more local that this. The base is square stock steel, painted black.
