Silk And Chantilly Lace Gown
This special custom gown we just made for Carly is romantic and elegant... photos of her in it coming soon!
Her gown is created in Silk Hemp (shiny side out) combined with Organic Cotton Voile, Chantilly Lace, and Beaded embellishments.
The bodice of her gown is structured and strapless, with a sweetheart neckline and low V back that reaches the waistline, in Silk Hemp fabric. Over the inner bodice is an overlay of sheer Cotton Voile that is rushed in a bust-flattering accent.
Adding a feminine soft edging to the neckline is a trim of Chantilly lace, which is also used to create tapered sheer straps, which she ended up changing to a lace halter at her fitting.
Centered at the natural waist, a satin ribbon ads contrast, and is layered in front of a wide lace accent at the waistline.
Below the natural waist, a Silk/Hemp skirt with fitted princess seams extends to the floor, with a sheath shape and slit in back for easy movement. Extending from above the knee, an overlay of Cotton Voile comes from a triangle-shaped seam (seam covered with Chantilly lace) in a flowey, loose cut to the floor and into a small sweep train. Champagne lace trim is use to finish the edge of this whimsical overlay piece
Train bustles up for the reception. Fabric covered buttons accent the zipper up the back of the gown. Gown is fully lined with the Cotton Voile for comfort.
