I can make beautiful coffee table stands using carefully selected redwood trunks. I choose trunks that have interesting lines and shapes. Then I clean, cover with silver, and polish them. I leave the top part - where the glass rests - natural so the contrast between the natural wood color and metal overlay can be appreciated.
