Eight recycled silver organically shaped circles line up in fashionable form on a sterling silver cable chain. They move freely, but collect neatly in front. Keeping them from sliding off the chain is one of my handmade sterling silver clasps, flanked by two greenish blue sapphire rondelles. Each circle was formed my hand using PMC. Simple, versatile, fun and definitely easy to wear with anything!
The necklace measures a comfortable 18 inches and each circle is about 8 mm around, with the group hanging down about 3/8 inch below the chain. It is modeled on a mannequin for visual reference. Please note, given that they float on the chain, the rings will end up laying down at times. The necklace will arrive at your door carefully packed in a kraft style gift box, tied up with a colorful ribbon.
PMC – Precious Metal Clay – is a clay comprised of tiny particles of reclaimed silver and an organic binder. I design and form each piece and then kiln fire it, where the binder burns away leaving the silver particles to cling together creating fine silver (.999). After firing, each piece is hand buffed, sometimes oxidized and then made into a beautiful piece of jewelry.
