The wood brush handle is finished with five coats of ultra-hard lacquer ( similar to what is used on cars ), hand rubbed to a beautiful satin shine, then buffed with pure carnauba wax for our exclusive, silky feel. This meticulous process makes our wood brush handle impervious to moisture, preventing crazing, cracks, and discoloration that most wood shaving brushes are prone to.
