An existing client wanted a bed to match a small French provincial armoire I had built the year before. He wanted a piece to harmonize with the existing piece, but not necessarily match it.
My research into French provincial styled bed frames did not work for us. I found that many of the details from the armoire that I wanted to mirror in the bed were found in Chinese furniture. The resulting design is a hybrid of Chinese and French provincial styles that works quite naturally.
