Sit-Stand Desk

Recent research has shown that standing at a desk or alternating between a sitting and standing position can be healthier than sitting all day for those of us who work in an office environment. This design of desk is capable of adjusting between 29" and 44"; most folks find a sitting height of 30" to 31" to be ideal whereas most folks are comfortable with a 40" to 41" standing height. The 2 ½ ton rated screwjack system can manually be cranked easily to any height between 29" and 44".
The motif of the desk is fashioned after WW I ammunition boxes with added rivets. Large hex head bolts and over-sized washers and nuts add to the industrial / steampunk / dieselpunk look. The floor supports are fashioned out of furniture-grade wood and finished in a rough cast-metal surface and shown in a cast iron color but can be customized to any color under the rainbow. The desk top is also furniture-grade wood and painted in a metallic high-gloss "peened" finish. It is a peened Copper finish as shown but can be customized to one of 11 available peened colors. All seams / joints on the supports and between the bases & supports are intentionally made to resemble rough welds from bygone years.
Although there are no industry standards on desk top sizes, the one shown is 60" long x 30" wide with an architectural aluminum trim which can be painted to your specifications. Please inquiry if you need a slightly larger or smaller sized desk top.

You can request to alter the appearance to the desk by eliminating or changing the number of rivets, painting the rivets to match the background color, staining the wood top, eliminating the large threaded rod for cross support, etc.
The shown desk is also adorned with gear / cog decorations. Any other items (laptop, lamp, etc) shown on the desktop surface are not included in the sale of the desk.
