Slant Front Desk

In the colonial era, circa 1765, the preferred desk of choice was a Slant Front Desk for writing letters of business and personal affairs.

Our Slant Front Desks feature magnificent dovetailing at the top, a lockable writing lid, pull out lid supports, and ample drawer storage.

The New England Desk gallery displays four finely hand dovetailed drawers and pigeon holes for stationery and envelopes. Fine proportions, a bracket base, and brightly polished brass pulls accenting highly figured tiger maple.

The rare Block & Shell Carved Interior of our Newport Slant Front Desk includes 17 drawers, 1 door, 3 shell carvings and pigeon holes for stationery and envelopes. Fine proportions, an ogee bracket base, and brightly polished brass pulls accenting figured mahogany will make a very dramatic statement in your library or office.

Available with straight or ogee bracket base.
