This 8 drawer jewelry armoire was built for a customer wanting a modern glossy Italian-style look, and massive storage. The cabinet is 48" tall, 26" wide and 18" deep. The original design was 20" wide and would have looked better.
The central veneer panels are Laurel burl, and have a four way symmetry on the front and again across the top. The cabinet is made from hardwood plywood veneered with walnut, then dyed black and the grain filled to give a smooth uniform base. The base is solid walnut, dyed and filled.
The water clear finish was polished to very high gloss. This is a costly but elegant look.
The interiors are fitted out using anti-tarnish cases and wooden dividers.
