I am very pleased with the timeliness, professionalism and quality of product in regard to my customized walnut vertical knife block. I very rarely provide product reviews, however Denny and his product impressed me so much I felt compelled to offer this review. This solid cherry mantel was made from a solid cherry slab. The mantel measures 5.5 feet long x 8.5 inches deep (front edge to the wall) x four inches thick. It was stained and several coats of a very durable varnish were sprayed on it. It was hung as a floating mantel.
If you are interested in having a mantel made for you, it can also be built with other wood types, i.e. oak, maple, sycamore, pine, walnut, etc.
