A beautiful kitchen should have an amazing island top. This hickory top was developed as the perfect compliment to the clients granite countertops and hickory cabinetry.
We used a unique process to build the top long, and then cut the ends to fold under and glue back on to create a traditional 2+" countertop edge, the sides were capped with 2" hickory to finish the top off. The hole top sits on an MDF plate atop the cabinetry to allow for expansion and afford the top room to breath with the seasons.
This top can be made in a variety of wood species and sizes.
