These types of builds always get me. Having proudly served my nation I want nothing more than to respect and honor my fellow veterans. With that being said if a veteran decides to allow me to build his shadow box all that I ask is money only for the needed supplies (one plank, sized glass, hinges, service felt color, and small 1/4 inch plywood). There will be no profit in it for me, except honor. Gold Star families of OIF/OEF warriors will not be charged a single dime. Of course some proof will need to be shown before said discount. Other than that the box is built of solid red oak with the flag on the bottom. The flag holder was built around the flag and slots for challenge coins run up the side. As a former Cavalry Scout my shadow box also contains mementos, collectibles, medals, and awards. These boxes can be made of any wood however, Oak and Walnut are the popular choices. Underneath the felt is roughly 5/8 cork surface under the felt to allow for ribbons, accolades, and other regalia. However, let me know and I can put in some harder anchors for heavier items.
