This ring was so much fun to make. The groom-to-be wanted an oval diamond (1.5 carat) for his fiancée, Sorraya. He wanted a ring that was traditional yet contemporary. I gave it a contemporary twist by opting out of the traditional prong setting for the center stone and using a bezel setting instead. This gives the ring a fullness that would have been lacking with a prong setting. The oval shape of the diamond was more elongated than your average oval diamond so a one-of-a-kind halo of diamonds was created to frame the unusual shape. Accent diamonds were set midway down the shank. I created lovely scroll work under the ring and my signature secret yellow diamond was set on the inside of the ring.
