Spalted Maple Slab width varies from 16-17 inches wide to 21 inches, it is 5 foot long 1 1/2" thick, the bark is nice and tight, I will apply Glue the help in preserving that look, some finishers remove the bark for fear of it coming off. I can't Guarantee this will not happen. Tree was cut several years ago and slabed last month, Moisture content is about 15% and in our humid conditions is about normal.

I will be finish sanding this, Pedestal will be Faux finished in a Bronze to rust color, top will be Hand Oiled, several coats of Polyurethane, and then paste wax,
