Spalted Sycamore End Grain Chopping Board, Butcher Block, Island
Spalted and quartersawn sycamore make an end grain block similar in stability and functionality to oak, with a more open grain probably not suitable for raw meats but perfectly safe if built and cared for properly and full of wonderful character, with or without a wane or "live" edge.
As with all my work, any size from bar block to kitchen island or entire counter top is possible.
