This is a handmade antique style pepper grinder with a working peppermill mechanism. The base is turned out of Spalted Tamarind wood and features the hole for the pepper to pass through. All the working parts are made of cast metal parts and are mounted in a bronze housing. There is a small sliding door in the back of the grinding mechanism to pour the peppercorns in and there is a small knob on the top to change the coarseness of the pepper to your liking. This is a unique but functional addition to any kitchen.
