Splatter Pallet Coffee Table
These tables consist of a fresh take on "pallet furniture". Starting with used shipping pallets, the tables are painted with lane marking spray-paint and splattered/dripped/adorned with three additional colors of paint. The legs are additionally made from reused / reclaimed 4 x 4 posts.
Each table features two heavy coats of acrylic coating to protect the splatter magic top, and swivel casters on the legs for ease of moving the table around.
The accidental intersections of the lines and pools of paint on the surface form a pattern which is every changing and enticing. One can look at this table for hours and keep discovering new forms of interplay among the colors. Additionally, the casters on the legs of the table gives a light, free-floating feel to the piece which allows it to roll around easily, creating a dynamic nature to how it fits in with the furniture and people around it.
Sturdy legs and top make for a great industrial appearance, but it's still made from soft wood (pine), so no dancing on it!
