Stacked Keepsake Box
A unique take on Japanese Tansu, which describes traditional mobile storage cabinetry used to store clothing, food, swords, and documents. This interpretation is intended as a piece of home decor which can be used to store small mementos and keepsakes. Constructed out of solid teak wood with through mortise and tenon joinery. The handle is composed of two pieces of walnut joined together with a sliding dovetail, and attached to the base with a braided hemp cord. Measures 14.5 long, 5.75 tall, 7 wide - each tray measures 1.75" inches deep.
