Stained Glass In A Pantry Door
This stained glass artwork was commissioned for a kitchen pantry. Although the clients sent a photo of the door, it was not a good enough photo to show it here.
But I show this pre-installation photo to you because it is a great example of stained glass in a setting where no light will come through the artwork.
A low-light or no-light situation requires different glass choices. Generally, this means semi-opaque or totally opaque glasses. Cathedral (= see-through) glasses tend to look dark when little or no light is coming through them. Opaque glasses show their colors well when light is bouncing off the front surface of the glass so light coming through them is not necessary.
The lettering on this artwork was done with sticky vinyl.
