Statement Necklace, Sterling Silver And Gemstones, Indian Inspired, Bridal

This necklace was a custom creation for a bride a couple of years ago. I loved designing and creating this piece. My inspiration came from the richly detailed shapes and designs used in henna. Bridal henna used in Hindu weddings is such a beautiful art form, so intricate. My interpretation is simpler but I still wanted it to retain complexity and a look that suggests its wearer is a queen on her special day.

Sterling silver is hand formed, hammered, and wrapped with freshwater pearls and gemstones. Over 100 pearls are used in the necklace, mostly in the four-strand bands that go around the neck. Dark Peach Moonstone and lovely glowing Prehnite gemstones offer a brilliant contrast of color, with specs of tiny Peridot beads hidden among the pearls. Draped sterling silver chain serves both functional and decorative purposes, holding the components together and creating a seamless look while adding a touch more drama.

This piece can be recreated almost exactly, if desired, or remade with colors of your choosing. Price will reflect the size, chosen gemstones, and overall complexity of the custom design.
