Our client came into possession of this Station Master's Desk dated ca. 1917. This unusual piece is very tall for a desk, so it was probably intended to be used either standing or sitting on a tall stool. There was extensive water damage to the top and legs. The drawers needed repair and locks were not functional. We completely disassembled the desk and restored each piece, repairing damage as we went. We were able to locate working locks from that era and restored the solid brass hardware to its original luster.
