A Cabbagetown pergola for Wisteria. Cantilevered galvanized steel arches, with tubular steel crossers, create a beautiful outdoor room. We removed the rotting cedar structure, protecting the wisteria, and created this. Part of an overall redevelopment of this inner city yard, the idea with this structure was to allow more natural light to enter the windows by having a taller structure, and a structure that could tolerate the vigorous forces of the weather and wisteria. In the spring when the wisteria hangs, it is heavenly.
