Sterling Silver Over Brass Etruscan Lion Double Headed Bracelet

The lion has had a positive depiction on cultures for hundreds of thousands of years, reflecting strength in conjunction with beauty, as well as bravery. Often depicted as the €œking of the jungle€, it has been used as a symbol of royalty, from many ancient civilizations from: Pre-Egyptian, Byzantine, Roman, Greek, Middle Eastern, Indian, Chinese, and even currently as the central depiction of English and French heraldry. Once found in Africa, Eurasia, India, and in the America€™s, as far down as Peru, the wild lions can now only be found in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and an endangered remnant population in India. In this 14th collection of Alberto Juan lion jewelry we celebrate the depiction of the wild African lion on Pre-Roman Etruscan civilization as well as the more modern cave lion€™s royal style.
