Stripper Cake
My client uses this Giant Portable (Nesting) Cake On Wheels for clients' special events.
No she isn't a stripper, that's just what you call one of these. She's a classy girl who happens to have diverse dancing skills including Gogo dancing. If you live in LA you can hire her & her other lovely friends to perform for an event.
The round shapes are sono tubes - basically very expensive & huge cardboard tubes used for concrete forming. The top & bottom rings are jig saw cut 3/4". I would normally CNC mill parts like this but I LOVE a jig saw challenge. And I'm pretty darn good.
There are 3 locking casters for easy cake delivery. It's wrapped in shiny fabric that looks like frosting & trimmed in changeable ribbons. I think I included 3 other colors. We talked about putting some LED candles on it but she's been too busy to bring it in. The cake is very strong and stable.
As you can see, each layer nests into the previous. This way it can fit into the back of an SUV or wagon.
She paid $1700 because she's fantastic & I love her spirit & energy. I would have to charge someone $2100 to make one of these today.
