While making this wreath I couldn't help but think of the poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas" by Clement Clarke Moore and the excerpt "The children were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads."
A lot of time and detail went into this creation. Each piece of faux fruit is hand "sugared" by me with glass microbeads. You will find strawberries, cherries, limes, apples, and pears. The only greenery used in the piece is the stems attached to the strawberries. This Christmas wreath packs a huge visual punch with details and is sure to delight. By adding creative lighting the entire wreath shimmers and sparkles!
The base for this wreath is styrofoam hand wrapped in moss attached with glue and floral wire. The circular wreath measures approximately 15 inches in diameter and should be used indoors or in a sheltered area away from the elements. This piece can be used as wreath or as a center piece and would look beautiful with a large chunky candle placed in the center opening which measures approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter.
