This is my version of the famous rocker. It is said the Gungstol was being made in Sweden prior to the Windsor rocker making it to America. There seems to be very little information available on the Gungstol so this chair was built strictly looking at a photo. This beautiful time piece rocks like no other chair on the planet, and may have you believing it is moving by it's self. There is a ghostly look to this chair, and it seems to represent everything from years gone by. Often mistaken for a Gungstol is the Boston Rocker which was introduced some time later in America, and was patterned off the Gungstol, but with only four legs and being mass produced there is no comparison. The rocker is constructed of the following; The seat is made of Native Pine. The leg & stretcher assembly consist of Rock Maple. The crest and spindles are Red Oak and the arm rest are Cherry. This particular chair is no longer in inventory but may be ordered with a possible two month wait time. This chair is available in multiple colors and may be discussed upon ordering.
