Table Top Sculptures: Cast Forton - Painted And Pigmented Wax

I have often done commissions which are "Small Monuments To A Conversation". By carefully listening to a person I can identify ideas that I can turn into a proposal for a sculpture.

Here is a series table top sculptures to show the range of my abilities. In addition to my bronze work, I sometimes sculpt in oil based clay and mold the pieces and cast forton (a high tech gypsum) instead of bronze. the coloring is an acrylic wash and pigmented wax for the final surface. It is cheaper and faster and has a nice weight and feel.

The intended use is as an object of art that is absolutely has no practical use except as something to think about. Makes a fun gift.

The style is well designed and crafted objects in service to the idea. There is a design, sculpting, molding and production cost associated with making a new "Monument to a conversation"
