Custom Wooden Heirloom Pieces
This unique piece was made for a client who wanted to display a fine antique silk shawl. She gave me the general specifications - 60" tall with a 30" wide Tbar, and made of dark wood.
It is made from Walnut and finished to a silken touch. I derived the design of the graceful elongated vase curves of the upright post and the gently tapered horizontal T-bar from my Shaker rocking chairs.
The Walnut "shtender" was created for a client to meet his specific needs. It has all corners generously rounded - just the way he wanted.
