This is an original design that has been completely hand built from scratch. For the ultimate wine lover...the ultimate collector of fine arts...someone who wants to create a warm and inviting environment in their home or office, this work of art is for you. Table comes complete with a 1/4" clear glass top, more than 1,330 various wine corks, two 120v LED lights, 4 ft. of electrical cord with inline on/off switch, two wine glasses and a customized bottle of wine. Here is the breakdown of each.
The table was built to my specification by a craftsman local to Wilmington, NC. The table is Red Oak and is stained with a mixture of American Colonial and Red Mahogany. It stands approximately 25" tall, 27 1/4" length, and 27 1/4" width. Weighs roughly 90 pounds.
A carefully planned and executed art piece is underneath the glass. More than 1,300 corks were carefully attached to the walls and base. Many of the corks are attached atop of one another creating "towers". To build a tower, a number of corks were drilled, a thin steel wire connected them, and then they were glued and clamped to ensure complete durability.
There are two 120 v LED lights inside. LED lights have an average lifespan of 15 years when used for 8 hours per day. I chose to use LED lights for their longevity, energy conservation, and because they generate very little heat.
Although the bulbs are expected to last for a long while, this table has also been built to ease the changing of bulbs. There are two housing units over the electrical connections. By simply removing the glass, one can pick up ONE colored cork, and remove the housing unit. A bulb takes roughly 3 minutes or less to change.
There are two wine glasses in this sculpture as well. They have the appearance of containing red wine in them. This is a completely cured dyed poly mixture. In other words, they are solid and will not spill.
There is also a customized wine bottle inside. If you are interested in this table, you and I will discuss the design, text, color, optional photos and appearance of your wine label. For any occasion. Once the design and execution of the customized label has been approved, I will attach it to the bottle and send a last picture to you before shipping.
All of my tables come with a black metal name plate bearing the Shadowtables logo, and the name of the table. This table is called "Taste The Wine". If you would like another name-plate attached that is personalized, I can do that too. This table will also come with simple instructions on how to care for your table, how to change bulbs, special offers, and a Certificate of Authenticity.
