This entirely solid, walnut dining set has a bookmatched slab table top, 4' x 10', with live edges, and natural figuring. The trestle base supports the table with its own intricate figuring. The two bench tops are also live edge slabs and actually bookmatch with each other, while the inside of the bench is cut straight for comfortable seating. The chairs are inspired by classic Windsor and Thomas Moser chairs and are made from solid walnut with live edge backs showing the natural coloration of the tree at the surface. These chairs were a collaboration of design between my client and myself and are hand carved, and completely custom.
