Thank You--In Balinese, Carved In Cherry
This carving says Suksma, the Balinese for "Thank you." Balinese, one of the world's most beautiful written languages, is so endangered (having been replaced by the Western alphabet) that most people on the street can no longer read it. Proceeds benefit the non-profit Endangered Alphabets Project, dedicated to preserving minority cultures worldwide.
