The Bronzeville Bookcase // Reclaimed Wood Bookshelf

Named for one of the great intellectual and cultural powerhouses of Chicago, the stately Bronzeville Bookcase provides ample room for a growing library. Created with local, reclaimed wood and American made steel, it makes the perfect addition to your entryway, bedroom, living room, or home office. This beautiful wood has not been treated: we wanted to highlight the natural patina and "imperfections" that only age and use can provide. Because it is made from recycled and reclaimed materials you can be sure that this bookcase is not only easy on the eyes, but easy on the Earth as well. The base features 1-1/2" welded steel legs, so it can support shelves completely full of books & more! Black rubber feet on all four legs keep your floors safe from scratches.

NOTE: We use reclaimed wood to create this bookcase, so there will be some variations in each piece. The images here are just examples of reclaimed wood bookcases in different colors (medium brown, light, and orangey). Each piece is unique and can be stained to a different color. Upon request, we will send photos of the wood for your approval before your bookcase is complete.

Each shelf gets screwed into the legs with four provided screws. There are already holes in the steel & wood, and any regular sized Phillips head screwdriver should do the trick. Nuts & bolts are provided so you can quickly secure the cross bars to the legs. Assembly instructions are provided.
