My husband is an avid Civil War buff. It was after we met that I began to create pieces of artwork along that line. "The Burning" was the first of my signature Civil War pieces. As I was completing the piece, I thought of all the burning & loss that took place during that war & I began to burn the edges all around the artwork. When I finished, I stepped back and knew it would be the signature for any future Civil War pieces as well. It brought new meaning to the already completed collage of men who had each lived through the horrors of that bloody, fire blazes war.
...Through encouragement of others, I took "The Burning" to print with 1,000 signed prints. Each print is numbered & I will personally sign upon request the already printed signature at the bottom.
