The Cenacle Tabernacle

This artistic Tabernacle was designed for a group of religious women who run a retreat center. They wished to incorporate the symbol of a tongue of flame into the design of the tabernacle. This tabernacle is part of a larger suite of custom liturgical furnishings that share common design elements. The base of the tabernacle is made of solid cherry and features a hand carved detailing. The upper "flame" surround is made of hand sculpted birch, and is finished in gold, silver, and copper leaf. The spherical tabernacle vessel itself is made from spun brass. The circular shelf is made in cherry. There is a keyed lock. The overall height of the tabernacle and surround is 75 inches
