"The Goose" - Reproduction Of 18th Century Philadelphia Style Secretary

This is a reproduction of an 18th century Philadelphia style secretary. From hand drawn plans to completion took almost nine months. It was the 4th piece of furniture I completed and was the recipient of the 2007 AWFS-Fresh Wood Best of Show and Peoples Choice awards. It is made of solid cherry and madrone burl. There are over 150 hand-cut dovetails and numerous hand-carved accents. All hardware is solid brass and historically accurate. The finish is a hand rubbed shellac and wax combination. Purchased by a wonderful couple in North Carolina, this piece serves as a showcase for a number of books and historical documents that were lovingly collected over their lifetime.
