This Nine Planets Ring features a complete band of Gibeon Meteorite framed and mounted in an 18k gold band. It is set with nine gemstones representing the inner planets of our Solar System. What really makes this ring special is that the band of meteorite spins independently on the gold ring, so when it is on, the planets rotate around the wearer's finger.

Working with John on designing an engagement ring was one of the best decisions I've made in some time. I didn't know much going into this other than I didn't want to go to a normal jeweler. I spent months searching for something with meaning, and I saw his design for the Nine Planets Ring. I immediately knew it was THE ring.
John was incredibly helpful. He explained every detail to me, and made me feel like I had some kind of grasp on metallurgy. He's very honest, open, and professional. All of my questions were answered (quickly i might add) as he helped guide me through the entire process.
It was a welcome relief in what is otherwise a stressful endeavor.
Before I ramble on, just know that if you work with Metamorphosis Jewelry Design on your next project, you will not regret it.
One more thing, the ring itself is absolutely stunning in person.
I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the craftsmanship. When I first held the ring I thought, "what kind of sorcery is this?" The attention to detail is absurd, and I'm completely OK with that.
Sorcery or not, this ring is beautiful.
In spite of my anxieties, John seemed to anticipate them all and always kept me informed, answered all my questions, so the process happened easily in spite of me. The ring itself is perfect and magical and fits perfectly - I had also been concerned that it might be a bit too over-the-top because the photos of it were all I had seen and of course made it appear much larger than in real life -- but it is actually quite subdued in its elegance and makes the kind of quiet statement that I feel most comfortable with. John is a brilliant designer and craftsperson, and I feel very lucky to have found him, and hope to work with him again on another project.
