This lamp has two modes of illumination: one is general task lighting, the other is a night light. The round knobs at the top of the primary light body are the rotary control switches, and they are integrated with the functional panel meters.
The Mystarium is not "found object", or "assemblage art". Rather, every part is hand-made for its specific application within the overall design (other than the obvious screws, nuts, assorted fittings, and modified panel meters): there are over 370 parts within a Mystarium, most of which are custom fabricated. Also, as these lights are handmade, there is typically some design variation from piece to piece.
These lamps are available in antiqued brass, antiqued nickel, black lacquer, and plum (a deep eggplant purple). The above example has an antiqued brass finish. The lamp stands around 45 inches tall, and can be disassembled in its entirety with a screwdriver and allen set.
TAKE NOTICE: If a commission is placed for a Mystarium, you will receive a piece similar to the one in the above photos: it will not be exactly the same. As all my pieces are hand-made, the final products end up slightly different from lamp to lamp.

NOTE: My pieces are made to order. The 3-4 week shipping time is an estimate: it can and has been much longer, depending upon my order work load. Contact me for a more accurate build schedule.
