My bride and I were picking fonts to use for toy boxes for our children. When it came to the last toy box, we realized we kept selecting fonts that were in a handwritten style. As soon as i said that out loud, we both knew what we had to do.
We called Anne's Grandmother and asked her to write her name in her beautiful penmanship. Taking the photo she sent us back of Anne's name in Ink pen, we made her toy box.
This toy box features Oak Ends, (from reclaimed Cabinet Doors), and Ipe (from a reclaimed porch), and scrap walnut plywood for the lid. We had fun joining the ends to the front/back using finger joints.
It was finished with Danish Oil Natural.
