Traditional Snowshoes
Cabin Creations handcrafted snowshoes are made of Minnesota ash. The ash is steamed and bent to produce a strong, durable, and light weight snowshoe frame. The frame is then weaved using a nylon lacing that when finished gives the appearance of traditional rawhide. Available in various lengths, Cabin Creations constructs both the Ojibwa style snowshoe pictured and the "Michigan" style shoe with a rounded toe bend. Handcrafted and beautiful enough to hang on the wall, but made to use. Sold in pairs.
